British Council
With offices in 120 countries, the British Council is the crucial cultural link between the UK and the rest of the world. And one of the important facets of UK culture that is of interest to all countries is Britain’s world class education system. And it is this is facet we’ve been working with them in recent months.
As a purely strategic project, our task has been to develop a communication strategy and messaging system that can help articulate the unique attributes of higher and further education here in the UK. The objective being to position the UK in such a way that students, Universities and policy makers around the world will look to the UK as a global thought leader in this field.
However, this is no easy task. There are many different views on the subject and many different parties, both here and overseas, with a vested interest. Any solution that is likely to have the impact we are looking for needs to take on board all this complexity and be grounded on a full understanding of all the issues. Therefore, our approach has been carefully thought out to ensure we consult with a wide variety of stakeholders before drawing out initial conclusions. And then testing our findings with a wide variety of audiences.
