A new brand for Stirling
Scotland's heart
Stirling has been at the heart of Scotland's history since Roman times. They asked us to create a new identity that would engage its residents, attract visitors and businesses and ensure its place at the heart of Scotland's future.
Inspired by the warmth of Stirling's people, its central location and the vibrancy of its past, our idea was a simple, friendly logotype - with the 'g' redrawn into a heart shape - standing out proudly on bold, vibrant background colours.
Thinking ahead
You might be surprised by how many words have a 'g' in them. We weren't. Which is why we knew that this identity would work across multiple applications covering a very wide range of messages. Simple, but ownable.
Each 'g' word sits in the centre of bold, bright imagery which mostly focuses on one of the city's biggest attributes - its people.
In research following the launch of the new brand, residents' and visitors' perception of Stirling was described as 'very good', with 72% either being either positive or very positive about the brand. (IBP Strategy & Research November 2007)
