Making the old, new

J.G. Thomson was originally a wine and spirits merchant with its roots dating back to the 1700s. Inspired by this savvy Edinburgh family, The Artisanal Spirits Company, have reimagined the brand adopting the same founding principles; to create new and exciting tastes that tantalise the adventurous so that they can capture the opportunity that has emerged on the wave of small-batch, craft and artisanal spirits.

A brand of contrasts

Everything about this brand is a juxtaposition. The exquisite taste of the gin, rum and whiskies allows them to be enjoyed neat or mixed. The brand carries the legacy of the family, yet it is new. It is traditional, yet modern. Our task was to develop a digital campaign that celebrated these contrasting attributes through impactful creative to help raise awareness of the new brand among a discerning audience and drive traffic to the main shop window: https://jgthomson.com/

A brand built on extraordinary taste

Having just launched the brand, we will start building a loyal following based upon the extraordinary taste of the spirits, by targeting industry influencers and carefully selected events.

JG Thomson’s story is important to us – and we wanted to show the depth and respect its legacy deserved whilst creating a spirits collection for today’s discerning drinker.  The team have created a narrative, targeting mix and optimisation approach to make sure this comes across.  Team Tayburn have delivered on professional, creative and scientific artistry, as the best campaign teams do.
